Los Angeles 2006 Plate
Designed for the American Institute of Architects Convention in L.A. this past June, this plate is aptly called the Los Angeles 2006 Plate because it is in fact an up-to-date map of downtown Los Angeles. If you're an out-of-towner, this commemorative plate will assist you on navigating the City of Angels, as it marks key buildings and public spaces, as well as recent construction to avoid due to new developments taking place at the time. At 12" of porcelain in diameter, it might be a tight fit with the rest of your maps in the glove compartment of your car, but as a serving plate or decorative piece in your home, it'd be a unique addition, as there were only 400 limited-edition plates made.
