Mutant Rocker Chair
In response to the Cardboard Chair, here's THE Mutant Rocker chair!
"The Mutant Rocker is an expression of what might happen when other objects transformed in the way our bodies do. The form of a chair, with its lathe turned curves and points, would swell to change the function. In this case, a desk chair is mutated into a rocking chair. While the behavior of the new form is familiar, the form itself makes the user/viewer engage in the story. There is also a set of values which I imagined the mutation upholding, morphing objects toward a specific end, to enhance a certain behavior on the part of the user. Less working, more rocking."
