The rumors are true: Banksy is — or was, or has been — in ork Times, and he’s doing more than just painting, or hiding.
For the last few weeks aficionados of street art have been atwitter with sightings of work by this pseudonymous, secretive British artist. Banksy has been quiet for some time. Your patience has paid off. Appearing on the streets of London over the weekend was his newest and possibly most ambitious piece “One Nation Under CCTV”. The 3 story high painting portrays a red hooded child on a ladder doing a huge roller piece above the watchful eye of a policeman and canine. With almost all works priced in the $100K range, this seemingly gritty space was truly the realm of the art elite as actors, musicians, models & art world royalty vied for the...

Families visiting Disneyland (California) on their holiday this week saw an inflatable doll dressed in an orange jumpsuit with its hands and feet manacled, symbolizing a Guantanamo bay inmate, standing inside the Rocky Mountain Railroad ride.
The sculpture remained in place for one and a half hours before Disneyland's security staff shut down the ride and removed it amid fears over public safety.

Street artist and prankster Bansky, who snuck 500 altered Paris Hilton cds into UK record stores last week, says that the LA heiress is probably too blonde to understand his dry wit.
Some argue that Banksy is only drawing more attention to the Simple Life star.
While it might keep the skinny blonde in the Top 10, it's also helping Americans discover the British prankster, who recently tagged a wall in Bristol with art of a naked man hanging on to a windowsill. The graffiti was left alone after the local city council asked the public to...
